The NEOGHZ on SonicNEXT

SonicNEXT was a grand experiment. Zifei Wu, the creator of Sonic HQ, had moved on from what became one of the largest Sonic sites on the Internet. Though he moved on, he couldn’t quite shake the urge to write about Sonic the Hedgehog. Thus, SonicNEXT was born. Scouring the Internet, he looked for people who would write on the Emulation Zone-hosted webspace, content that could proliferate in the new millenium.

It was right around this time that The GHZ was in trouble. Videogamers.com, the second home of the page, had just announced it would stop web hosting. Zifei, hearing the news and knowing he would never be able to create a depository of game information as robust as Green Gibbon’s, asked if he would be willing to become part of SonicNEXT.

With that, The Neo Green Hill Zone became the games section on SonicNEXT. The partnership would only last until the site folded, in which The GHZ once again moved, this time to The Emulation Zone. Hosting Sonic HQ, Sonic Fan Games HQ, TSSZ News, and SSRG, it only made sense that The GHZ would join the impressive resume of Andy Wolan’s site hosting portfolio.

The following pages are what remain of The NEOGHZ's existence on the SonicNEXT server.
