The Project List

One of my biggest hurdles when making these titles is finding a story that is appealing to my public, especially when I consider 'my public' to be a rather vast and diverse population. One group may like a certain story, whatever they're still on the site or festering in the salvage yard of my ideas, while another group may look at that same idea and groan, 'Here he goes again!' And unfortunately, there are the group of people who bemoan the fact that I'm still drawing breath ^-^

In these situations, I need to be reminded just what the heck my audience is for each of these projects, so I made this list of titles I'm considering working if I'm not working on them now. I'll include a list of people I'm intending to be the audience for each title, and which is not. You may find yourself to be the intended audience for one title and not in another. Of course, you can feel free to provide feedback to me by e-mail and tell me which ones you like to see.

Night Soldiers

If you don't know this, you haven't been visiting my site. I'm currently working on the second issue with an online friend who offered to be the inker.

Intended: Fans of shonen/shojo mixed manga and anime, Shojo fans who want more octane in their comics, former AAA and current SVAM fans.

Not Intended: People who still rail at me about SMAK and SMUSA. Any and all Moonies.

Copper Mystran series

I returned to this after the World Trade Center Massacre. Copper is a professional hypnotist who moonlights as a sleuth that appeared to come out of the Old Radio Serial Shows. He operates very similar to "The Shadow," including the use of operatives, who are made up in this series from runaways, orphans, stray teenagers, and any other kids who end up lost in Las Vegas where he scrapes them off and reforms them. The first story will involve my Player Character (think of Self-Insertions with less ego), Adam Packbell. The first story would have been called "The Human Hard Drive," but it'll be changed by the time this story is done.

Intended: Old Radio, Hypnosis Fiction, and a.f.s.r story fans. People who allow a psychotherapeutic factor gets a honorary mention.

Not Intended: This is a Self-Insertion story, fanfict or no fanfict. People are going to moan over it.

BakaBreakers

This will be my flagship story: MegaTokyo meets Murder at Small Town X. Like in the first Copper story, this will involve Adam, but it will be centered on Tara Kit, the robot mentioned in the previous item. They get caught bouncing between manning an Anime-themed business and solving the homicide of that business' owner. Jim Goodlow and Scarlet FoxFire may also make their return here.

Intended: Fans of online comics as well as most of my canonized characters.

Not Intended: Those who groan over my recycling of characters, because this will be where I give most of them a good home. Except for one . . . .

Jonathan Brisby

That's what many people consider my answer to Mickey Mouse to be inspired by. In this comic, he's referred by as just JB, or Jay Bee, if you want legalities. The name of the town can be anything if need be, but it's still styled like a model scaled New York. (Whatever of not this rodent Metropolis is Thorn Valley 30 years ahead of "The Secret of NIMH" remains to be seen.) In here, JB acts like a rodent Harry Houdini, who finds a girl mouse who collapses in front of him. Her name's Susan Traveller, and she is nursed back to health and into JB's magic act . . . until Pippkin shows up, who destroyed Susan's home town just to get at Susan's Bag of Surprises. JB ran up to stop Pippkin from getting to Susan and the fight everybody's apparently wants to see begins.

Intended: Fans of Furry, Magic, Bluth, JB, and Pippkin.

Not Intended: Rescue Ranger and Disney Diehards, Lawyers and accountants, the Portal of Evil, Furry Bashers, and so on.

Senorita Beth:

This title was initially created with the help of a friend of mine from Latin America. Unfortunately, reality got in the way between him and the progress of this project. It wasn't until it was mentioned in the Portal of Evil that it resurfaced. There is a post there that shows somebody's brainstorming, which definitely comes up with a very workable project by now.

In this project, Beth Mystran, daughter of the Hypnotist Sleuth in the Mystran series, strikes off on her own over at an hotel at Baja California or somewhere in Mexico, where there is more than meets the eye.

Intended: The Portal of Evil, Latin Americans or Latin American fans. Not to mention those who mind the unexpected.

Not Intended: Nobody that I know of: Even people who rail against 'Thorn Valley Files' like the character development behind Beth Mystran.
